You’re busy, but your health still matters to you. How can you create realistic health and fitness goals and incorporate them into your daily life? It may not be as hard to do as you think.
Focus on the Way You Feel
First, put aside the scale and instead focus on how you feel. Pick out an outfit you love, one that may be a size too small. Buy it. Hang it in your closet. Place $50 in the pocket. As soon as you achieve your goal to fit into that outfit, you get to spend the money any way you like.
Recognize Your Power
You are in charge of how much you lose. The average weight loss per week is only about one pound. But, that doesn’t have to be your goal. What you eat impacts how long it takes you to get to where you want to be. You could lose 50 pounds this year, or in the next six months. Recognize just how much power and control you have!
Fall in Love with Exercise
It sounds impossible, but it does not have to be. Find activities that you genuinely love to do. You may prefer to swim instead of walk. You may love nature. Spend more time hiking. When you do things you enjoy doing, you’re more likely to do them on a consistent basis. That’s where your success will come from.
It’s your choice to get healthy. You have the ability to change your life. What can you do today to make that one step closer?
